Week of the Kajkavian Culture to celebrate traditions and cultural identity of Croatian Zagorje

Every year in early autumn, which is the most beautiful time of the year in Zagorje, the Kajkavian Culture Week begins. It takes place in the pitouresque town of Krapina and brings to visitors many different programs and the very existence of the Festival celebrates what is old and traditionally from Zagorje. It offers a variety of music and folklore events, exhibitions, poetry evenings and various cultural and artistic programs, as well as the Festival of Kajkavian Songs Krapina.

The Kajkavian Song Festival started in 1966 and since then it has become one of the most notable cultural music festival in Croatia. Visually stunning this venue is definitely one to see, so why don’t you plan your next holidays in the begining of September and head down to Krapina where you will find nourishment for the body and soul!
